I’ve owned two mark 1s since 1989. Glued on parts (transoms, bottom, cuffs) came off/separated after 12 years, even though boat was stored out of sun and well maintained/babied. Design and weight is still superior to competitors if you plan to fold up boat and skip trailer. (and why else would you buy an inflatable?). Wish they could heat weld the glued parts, like the tubes or use rubber in lieu of plastic/PVC. If you buy one, plan on using 12 years max, less if folded up a lot or let in sun/humidity/cold/hot cycles. Forget repairs…..very expensive or time consuming if you do it yourself. Wood to PVC is a weak connection. (transom). Also wish they still had wood bottom available (lighter/warmer) and included the old things like the wood bow deck, and ore locks with real wood ores. The price keeps going up and they provide less and less. Alum or wood floor with inflatable keel gives good rigidity, boat performs well with smaller engines. But not in chop.
